The adjunct faculty member will reinforce didactic content and provide expert evaluation of student performance during clinical rotations. They are responsible for maintaining compliance with accreditation standards and supporting the university's mission through community service and student mentorship.
Candidates must hold an active, unencumbered Arizona or multi-state RN license and possess at least 2-3 years of recent direct Critical Care nursing experience. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is the minimum requirement, with a Master's degree preferred.

Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing
Collaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives
Participate in grading written and clinical performance checkoffs
Remain current with new trends and development in the specific field of nursing practice
Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation
Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University
Travel to GCU student sites, directly observing student performance
Participate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the community
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
Masters (or higher) in Nursing
2 years of recent direct Critical Care nursing experience.
Bachelor's in nursing AND 3 years of recent direct Critical Care nursing experience AND enrolled in a graduate program
OR hold relevant national certification for the clinical area in which they teach. Nurses must possess an active, current, unencumbered, and unrestricted AZ or multi-state RN license.
An active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license
Must successfully pass a drug test and competency testing
Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
