The Senior Biologist/Project Manager will lead natural resources projects, supervise field teams, and manage project scopes, budgets, and regulatory compliance. They are responsible for client communication, technical report development, and ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree in environmental science or biology and possess 3+ years of experience in natural resources project management. Strong technical writing skills, familiarity with biological permitting, and the ability to conduct fieldwork up to 40% of the time are required.
Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Biologist/Project Manager to join our Natural Resources Team! The Senior Biologist/Project Manager will develop and lead Natural Resources projects across the Nation. They will also support and lead field surveys including, but not limited to, habitat assessments and presence/absence surveys for listed species, wetland delineations, invasive species surveys, and biological compliance monitoring. Additionally, the Senior Biologist/Project Manager will spend approximately 60% of their time performing computer-based work to manage multiple ongoing projects, support development of proposals, survey reports, management plans, and other project deliverables.
Fieldwork tasks include physical exertion such as walking or climbing over wet, rough, uneven, and/or rocky surfaces; bending, crouching, stooping, or reaching to observe, collect and/or record field data. Some surveys require hiking several miles in a day, working in and around water, and accessing caves or other challenging topography.
When not traveling (up to 40%), this position can be based anywhere in the USA with preference given to candidates that reside within an hour commute of a regional or international airport.
