The Systems and Network Administrator maintains, secures, and supports hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure while serving as the primary escalation point for technical issues. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in IT or a related field and 3-5 years of progressive experience in systems or network administration. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and knowledge of enterprise network security technologies like Fortinet are strongly preferred.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Systems and Network Manager, with technical oversight from the Network Architect/Engineer and Systems Architect/Engineer, the Systems and Network Administrator maintains, secures, and supports Colonial Group’s hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This role serves as the primary escalation point for network, systems, and endpoint issues, and the first point of contact for LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Teams, Teams Voice, SharePoint, and OneDrive) connectivity and access issues. The Administrator operates with a security-first mindset — applying Zero Trust principles, multi-factor authentication, and endpoint protection standards (FortiClient, Okta), and partners with the Cyber Security team on incident response and remediation. Core responsibilities include proactive monitoring and patching of network and systems infrastructure, PowerShell-driven automation of routine administrative tasks, disciplined ticket and change management using Halo ITSM, and maintaining accurate, audit-ready technical documentation. The Administrator is expected to stay current on emerging technologies, including AI-assisted administration tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, and to support ongoing modernization and continuous improvement across the network and systems environment.

Willingness to participate in after-hours initiatives and stay current with evolving security and technology standards, including emerging AI-assisted administration tools.
Travel: Occasional travel between Colonial Group locations may be required, up to approximately 20%
