The reporter will research, report, and produce news stories for broadcast while building a network of sources to stay ahead of competitors. They are also responsible for shooting and editing video, conducting interviews, and engaging with the audience through social media platforms.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent experience and at least three years of professional news reporting experience. Proficiency in newsgathering technology, excellent communication skills, and a valid driver's license are required.
KTXL-FOX40, the Nexstar station in Sacramento, is looking for an experienced Reporter/MMJ to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to enterprise relevant, unique, broad-appeal content every day. Have the skills and desire to dig deeper, go beyond the obvious and bring an investigative mindset to day-turn stories.
You should also have outstanding live reporting skills, capable of covering breaking news, severe weather, and other developing stories in an aggressive, compelling, creative way.

Compensation - $28.85+/hr commensurate with experience and skill level
