The Junior Estimator assists in preparing cost estimates and bid proposals for OSP fiber optic construction projects by analyzing drawings and tracking material and labor costs. They collaborate with project managers and field personnel to maintain estimating databases and support the development of accurate project budgets.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. The role requires 0-3 years of experience in construction or utilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

FiberTel is looking for a Junior Estimator for our Sacramento, CA location.
The Junior Estimator will work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and operations teams to assist with preparing cost estimates and bid proposals for Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic construction projects.
Pay: $28-40/hr, DOE
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position typically operates in an office environment with occasional time out in the field for site walks and similar tasks. This position my be exposed to different types of weather, loud noises and other construction hazards associated with the field.
Applicants are required to pass all company drug testing, submit to a background check and adhere to all OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements and training provided by the company as required
