We at Northrop Grumman Missions Systems are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer for Integration & Test in Woodland Hills, CA. What You’ll get to Do:
Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems. This includes designing a formal qualification strategy to qualify new system designs utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, DOORS.
Using scripting knowledge to develop test scripts to automate test campaigns.
Coordinate integrated testing activities.
Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
Conduct formal technical reviews, such as Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) with internal stakeholders and external customers.
Assess performance of Navigation Systems and Mission Computers by analyzing data using MATLAB or similar software.
Act as the primary technical point of contact during test events, managing customer expectations and reporting results.
Basic Qualifications for a Integration and Test Systems Engineer are:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of engineering experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university.
Experience authoring test procedures, managing test facility interfaces, and ensuring data integrity and cataloging.
Analytical coding experience
Experience with test execution, diagnostics, and formal requirement decomposition with traceability and verification.
Proficient in at least one of the following programming environments: MATLAB, C, C++, C#, and/or Python.
Ability to obtain and maintain an active US Government Secret Level security clearance.
US Citizenship
Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CA
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Integration and Test Systems Engineer are:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of related test experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 3 years of related test experience.
Experience authoring test procedures, managing test facility interfaces, and ensuring data integrity and cataloging.
Experience with test execution, diagnostics, and formal requirement decomposition with traceability and verification.
Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
Experience creating automated test scripts that integrate with hardware interfaces.
Proficient in at least one of the following programming environments: MATLAB, C, C++, C#, and/or Python.
Systems engineering background and/or mindset
Ability to obtain and maintain an active US Government Secret Level security clearance.
US Citizenship
Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CA
Preferred Qualifications:
Active US Government Secret Level security clearance.
Experience with GNSS/INS/EGI systems and precision navigation simulation.
Experience working with operational hazards such as overhead lifting, Thermal Chambers, and Vibration Test systems
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple, shifting priorities while maintaining safety standards.
Demonstrated leadership of System Test efforts in a dynamic work environment.
Experience engaging external customers through meetings, presentations, and technical negotiations.
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
