The Facilities Maintenance Assistant provides day-to-day maintenance services, including responding to helpdesk tickets for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues. They also manage cleaning vendors, oversee tool inventory, and assist with employee moves and safety inspections.
Candidates need 1-2 years of facilities experience, 1 year of customer service experience, and knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and reliable transportation for travel between locations are required.
The Facilities Assistant will work with the Facilities and Operations teams on a day-to-day basis to assist in maintenance services. The successful candidate will be a collaborator and self-starter with a strong ability to follow through on daily assigned tasks. In addition, they must be reliable, communicative and maintain a professional demeanor. The candidate will need to be able to interact with a variety of different personalities and be responsive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and safely. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods, including full work shifts. Capable of manual handling of equipment, containers, or refuse, including loading/unloading tasks and operating mechanical lifting devices (Code 9403).Must be able to work indoors or outdoors in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, humidity, and exposure to dust or fumes. Requires frequent climbing, squatting, and twisting motions, and may involve working at heights or on uneven surfaces (Code 9009). Ability to operate vehicles or machinery as needed, with appropriate safety protocols. Must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, including grasping, fine manipulation, and reaching above shoulder level. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to safely perform job duties, including use of protective equipment when required.
