The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain resilient data pipelines to support collection, ingestion, and analytics. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and provide production support for data products.
Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and at least 5 years of software development experience using Python. Proficiency in data engineering, ETL processes, and working within Linux environments is required.
Seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Engineer to join our team in Herndon VA. The Data Engineer will leverage their expertise with Python to support the customer’s data pipelines and related applications, from collection to ingestion, and ensure the integrity and security of data systems. You will play a critical role in delivering relevant and actionable cyber data to the right customers in a format that is normalized and actionable by cyber analysts and data scientists.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
High School Diploma and 5+ years’ experience with software development in Python
Experience with data engineering
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and ingestion workflows
Experience with Git/GitHub or similar version control systems
Experience with common data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, and other structured or semi-structured data
Experience working with Bash, Linux, and command-line tools in a development or production environment
Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $180,000-$230,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
