The Robotics Software Engineering Manager at Rosenxt leads and develops a multidisciplinary engineering team, driving performance, growth, and a strong collaborative culture. The role focuses on organizational leadership, aligning team objectives with company strategy, and ensuring effective delivery through structured processes and cross-functional coordination.
What you can expect
Lead and shape a growing robotics software team with high autonomy and ownership.
Take on a central leadership role within an international, distributed organization.
Drive team development through hiring, mentoring, and establishing a strong engineering culture.
Influence how the team works by defining processes, structures, and ways of collaboration.
Work closely with cross-functional teams across the UK and Germany to align on goals and priorities.
Balance people leadership with organizational responsibility in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Have a direct impact on team effectiveness, delivery outcomes, and long-term capability building.
Contribute to strategic decisions by translating company objectives into actionable team plans.
What you bring
5+ years in an engineering leadership or team lead role, including direct people management (regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and structured career development).
Demonstrated experience hiring and scaling robotics software teams, from defining roles and running interviews to onboarding and integrating new team members.
Proven ability to establish and refine team processes (e.g., planning, road-mapping, estimation, delivery tracking) that enable predictable, high-quality output in robotics projects.
5+ years of experience developing production-grade robotics software in domains such as perception, SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, or control, ideally across both research and industrial environments.
Experience collaborating with universities, research labs, or robotics institutes and translating research outcomes into robust, deployable software for real-world applications.
Hands-on experience with real-world deployment of robotic or autonomous systems (e.g., industrial, underwater, logistics, or field robotics), with an understanding of safety, reliability, and operational constraints.
Familiarity with robotics software ecosystems and frameworks (e.g., ROS/ROS 2) and modern software engineering practices in C++ and/or Python, including testing, simulation, and data-driven validation.
Ability to translate company and research roadmaps into clear team plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes, balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day delivery.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in distributed, cross-functional environments, comfortable representing the team in collaborations with research institutions, industry partners, and internal product/operations functions.
High adaptability, initiative, and a continuous-improvement mindset, with a track record of identifying capability or organizational gaps and addressing them through hiring, coaching, upskilling, or restructuring.
Look forward to
