The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating powered material handling equipment to move, stack, and pick merchandise within a warehouse. They must also perform shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse tasks such as packing and labeling.
Candidates must have at least 6 months of verifiable experience operating material handling equipment within the last 36 months. The role requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift or other powered material handling equipment (MHE) to move, stack, or pick/pull merchandise. The scope of this position includes all phases of warehousing depending on needs including, shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing and forklift operation.

Education & Experience
Minimum 6 months verifiable work experience in the prior 36 months operating material handling equipment as required by role (sit down/stand up forklift, reach truck, cherry/order picker, etc.)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. The employee must be able to carry and climb a ladder. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day) Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
This position will be exposed to warehouse working conditions, vibration, improperly illuminated or awkward and confining workspaces. Exposure to some degree of varying seasonal temperatures and outside weather conditions. Working above ground level where the possibility of falling exists. Loud noises typical.
