Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of mechanic experience or a relevant automotive/diesel service certificate. Candidates must have basic knowledge of engine and electrical diagnostics and the ability to safely drive a company vehicle.

Objective: Technician repairs material handling equipment, transmission, or other subassemblies according to specifications, using hand tools and power tools. Technician will disassemble unit and examine condition, movement, or alignment of parts visually or using gauges. The technician will replace defective parts using hand tools, arbor press, flexible power press, and power tools as needed. Technician will then reassemble unit and test operation.
