You as a Superintendent will:
Provide overall construction management, including design, budget and schedule, in conjunction with the Project Manager, Owners, Engineers and Architects to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget on large complex projects.
Manage work on site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings, specifications and safety regulations
Plan and implement schedules, determine manpower levels and material quantities, ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required
Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing progression.
Mentor project team members to ensure career growth and development.
Advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences and schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving conflicts.
Be jointly responsible to monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow
Is this the right role for you?
You have a construction related degree and 6 to 8 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on large projects (Design Build, P3, Residential, Commercial, Institutional or Healthcare)
You have an advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings.
You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion.
You have strong scheduling experience with a proven ability to develop, maintain and execute both long term and short term schedules
You have the ability to manage trade relationships and ensure schedule is on track for project success
The salary range for this job is $95,000 - $145,000 CAD
