The technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation and HVAC control systems. They work in coordination with service teams and vendors to ensure system performance and operational stability.
Candidates must have experience with building automation platforms such as Distech, Tridium Niagara, or Honeywell and possess a strong troubleshooting mindset. A valid driver's license is required, and an EPA Section 608 certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
The HVAC Controls Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of building automation and HVAC control systems. This role focuses on ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in accordance with design intent. The technician works independently and in coordination with HVAC service teams, controls vendors, and facility stakeholders to maintain system performance, resolve control-related issues, and support long-term operational stability.

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with ABC Mechanical's policy. Growth and Development. This role offers advancement opportunities into Senior Controls Technician, Controls Specialist, or Controls Engineering support roles based on experience, training, and demonstrated performance.
