McGrath Dodge in Cedar Rapids is looking for a motivated and dependable Express Technician to join our service team. As part of the McGrath Family of Dealerships, we’ve built our reputation as Eastern Iowa’s trusted name in automotive sales and service by investing in our people and promoting from within.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in starting an automotive career. No prior automotive experience is required we provide hands-on training and a clear path to grow into a Certified Technician role.

Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic maintenance services
Complete multi-point vehicle inspections
Replace filters, wiper blades, and most bulbs/headlamps
Assist certified technicians as part of your training and development
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures
Consistent and reliable work history
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Experience in tire shops, independent shops, chain stores, muffler/brake shops, dealerships, or retail automotive environments is helpful but not required
