Supervise and coordinate the daily maintenance and repair of mobile equipment, including trucks, cranes, and material handling machinery. Ensure all safety procedures are followed while managing shop personnel, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
Requires a High School Diploma/GED, ASE or manufacturer certifications, and 3-5 years of direct supervisory experience in a mobile equipment shop. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
General Description
Under limited supervision, the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor assigns daily work to Shop Equipment Mechanics. Is required to explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Coordinates movement of materials and equipment to shop locations. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Site Specific Technical Description include but not limited to:
Possesses knowledge and provides oversight of routine preventive maintenance and/or repairs on but not limited to:
Can diagnose and repair electrical system, cooling system, braking system, fuel system (gasoline / propane) and steering system. Be able to operate in a safe manner drill press, engine tune-up meters, and related shop equipment. Operates electrical test equipment used in the repair and diagnosis of electrical components. Operates and drive all above mentioned equipment.
