The Apprentice Route Setter assists senior setters with setting, stripping, and organizing holds while maintaining facility equipment. They are responsible for forerunning routes and supporting competition setup and teardown.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of climbing experience and be comfortable working at heights of 40+ feet. The role requires a flexible schedule and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Central Rock Gym provides the highest quality indoor climbing experience for beginner to advanced climbers. Our route setting, friendly staff and cleanliness give you the ability to train your hardest and push yourself to the limit, while the community of climbers will provide a great source of fun, and a place to engage with others. Our rock wall designs are state of the art and include the best top-roping, leading, and bouldering around. Walltopia and Rockwerx have worked in some of the best slabs, lead arches, aretes, beginner areas and steep slopes that any gym has seen, while maintaining open areas for competition viewing and relaxation between climbs. In addition to our climbing, we offer exercise equipment, a weight training area, yoga, and comfortable areas for parents to watch and relax with wireless internet. We host incredible group events and have the multifunctional spaces to provide food and refreshments.
