Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area to ensure swimmer safety and respond immediately to emergency situations. Provide swimming and water safety instruction to students of all ages while promoting YMCA programs and values.
Must be at least 16 years old with current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration certifications. Ability to pass a lifeguard water test and perform strenuous physical rescues is required.

Our Lifeguards and Swim Instructors provide excellent customer service while maintaining safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas. An Aquatics team member creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with the YMCA of Central Florida policies and procedures.
