Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and possess at least 3 years of experience in education program management, including 2 years of grant compliance experience. A minimum of 5 years of total professional work experience is required.
Regional Director of 21st Century
The Regional Director will be a member of the Out of School Time Programs Team (OSPT), collaborating with the Managing Director, two Regional Managers, and the 21st Century Family Engagement Specialist, to ensure support and a high-quality experience for 10 regional, campus-based Site Administrators. Additionally, the Director will plan, coordinate, and implement grant specific requirements related to the Quality Assurance Process (QAP), GRPA reporting, fiscal management per federal guidelines, and state meeting attendance. Functional responsibilities of the role also include coaching and developing staff, adhering to data tracking, recording and reporting deadlines, and other requirements as set forth by the district and funding entity.
• Matrix manage 10 Site Administrators
This is a full-time hybrid position located in the Rio Grande Valley. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the region, or who are willing to relocate.
• Travel within the Region throughout the year as necessary.
This leader is responsible for guiding the decision-making process within the team. They foster a collaborative environment where team members contribute to decision-making, ensuring that diverse perspectives are considered and team consensus is built when appropriate.
This leader is responsible for the overall performance and cohesion of their team. They build operating mechanisms, establish strategic plans, and implement project management systems that ensure that their team operates smoothly and achieves its targets.
This leader is responsible for fostering a culture of growth within the team. They create opportunities for team learning, facilitate team development sessions, and ensure that team members have the resources and support they need to grow professionally.
This leader is responsible for ensuring team members feel safe to express their ideas and concerns. They proactively address conflicts and facilitate open communication, setting the standard for trust and safety within the team.
This leader prioritizes open channels of communication on their team. They facilitate team meetings, ensure clear dissemination of information, and encourage feedback loops within their teams to promote understanding and cohesion.
• Ability to successfully matrix manage
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer literacy that includes an understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Certifications: None are required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing programs in an education setting is required.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience working with a grant and grant compliance.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience.

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and perform work on a computer.
• Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds (occasionally)
• Physical ability to work around children including sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs.
• Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including in times of excessive heat or cold
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
This position is grant-funded with 21st Century funds. This is a grant-funded position and funding may be extended. A grant-funded position has no guarantee of ongoing and indefinite employment. All duties and responsibilities tied to this position are allowable and allocable to the grant. The employee will work solely (100%) on allowable activities outlined in the grant program.
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $77,200 and $90,300 commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
