Members will participate in community outreach, mentoring youth, and supporting academic success through various service projects. They will also engage in STEM/STEAM/STREAM activities and assist with special projects at the host site.
Candidates must provide government-issued identification, a social security card, and proof of citizenship to enroll. All members are required to participate in a one-day pre-service virtual training and additional assigned trainings during the first week.

Pretax Living Allowance:
$2,600.00
paid 2 times per month on the 15th and last day of each month of enrollment.
Education Award: $7,395.00
Definition of Living Allowance: money distributed to individuals to meet basic living needs. Living allowance is not considered money earned as during employment. Members are not classified as employees. Therefore members are not subject to employee benefits or eligible for unemployment. A living allowance may not affect other benefits such as social security, retirement, or other assistance benefits.
The Segal AmeriCorps Education Award is offered to individuals who complete a term of service and can be used to pay for a range of education/training expenses. Examples include: repaying qualified student loans, future tuition payments, skill training programs and more. You can earn up to 2 Full Time Education awards while serving up to 4 service terms.
Other Benefits Include:
All members must participate in a 0ne-day pre-service virtual training with an additional assigned trainings during the 1st 7 days of service.
AmeriCorps is a national service program in which during membership members also agree to participate in AmeriCorps activities in addition to host site placement responsibilities.
