The Vacuum Truck Driver is responsible for operating specialized equipment to jet and vacuum storm, sanitary, and water lines, as well as performing hydro excavation. They must also maintain accurate daily logs, conduct vehicle inspections, and ensure compliance with all DOT safety regulations.
Candidates must possess a Class B CDL with a tanker endorsement and a clean driving record for the past seven years. The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds and pass both a DOT physical and a background check.

Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is looking for Vacuum Truck Drivers to join our team.Class B CDL
Tanker endorsement required
HAZMAT endorsement preferred
Clean Driving Record (No major traffic violations, tickets or accidents for the last 7 years.)
Must pass pre-employment DOT physical/drug screening
Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
Ability to pass background checks for secure facility access
Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspection and maintain inspection reports.
Maintain daily mileage logs and work tickets.
Use specialized equipment to jet and vacuum storm, sanitary, water lines and conduits.
Hydro excavation by using a nozzle attached to a high-pressure water gun or lance to soft dig into the ground.
Safely operate commercial vehicle while driving and maneuvering in a variety of situations, such as heavy traffic, construction sites, and tight areas within various regions of Virginia.
Maintain assigned vehicle(s) to a high standard of cleanliness.
Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers.
Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Location: Various Jobsites
Working Hours: Start time is 6:30 AM. Overtime, nights and weekends may be required.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis in order to be considered.
For this role the base hourly range is $25.00-$35.00 per hour. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
