The Laboratory Operations department offers routine testing service for the analysis of T-cells to aid in the diagnosis of, and investigation of infectious diseases using the company’s own T-SPOT technology as well as innovative research techniques.The Oxford Diagnostic Laboratory (ODL) within the Laboratory Operations department provides a UKAS accredited routine diagnostic service to UK clinical services.This position is a member of the Customer Experience Team with the Laboratory Operations department and is specifically responsible for supporting the routine testing service.
This role is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) and has an expectation of 5 days per week on-site.
Role Description
The role will be responsible for laboratory support and administration support to the Laboratory Operations department.
Data input into the Service’s Laboratory Information System (LIS), with other administrative duties as directed.
General administration duties to ensure the efficient running of the Laboratory Operations department (filing, scanning, answering customer queries, re-sending results).
Answering queries from customers via telephone and email.
Contacting customers with any queries arising from sample booking in (e.g. date of blood collection).
Role Requirements
Essential qualifications, skills and abilities
Knowledge of Windows and Office based applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to organize and prioritize work loads
Capable of handling multiple tasks at the same time
Previous experience of working within a customer service environment
Desirable Technical skills and abilities
Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent experience
Previous experience and/or understanding within a healthcare, diagnostic and/or pharmaceutical industry or similar
