The Staff Pharmacist manages the operation of centralized and decentralized pharmacy locations, overseeing workflows and supervising pharmacy technicians. Key duties include filling prescriptions, counseling patients, and ensuring compliance with 340b and HRSA regulations.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be a licensed Pharmacist in California. Experience with pharmacy management systems is required, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the overall operation, management and direction of St. John’s centralized pharmacy and decentralized dispensary model. The Staff Pharmacist reports to the Pharmacy Director (PD) and works closely with the Chief of Pharmacy and Clinic Director and other clinic managers where a dispensary or pharmacy exists. St. John’s has dispensaries in eight locations in Southern California serving 140,000 patient visits annually. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
