Perform various cardiac ultrasound procedures and assist cardiology attendings during stress echocardiograms and TEE procedures. Responsible for preliminary measurements, documentation in cardiovascular information systems, and communicating critical findings to physicians.
Requires graduation from a certified cardiovascular technology or accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography. Must hold RDMS, RCS, or RDCS certification along with BLS AHA certification.

The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound procedures. They also assist a trained, credentialed cardiology attending during stress echocardiogram and TEE procedures. Additionally, the position is responsible for complete knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
