Information Technology - Senior Director/Director, Food and Beverage Technology
You will own the end-to-end Food & Beverage technology stack, including POS, inventory management, and digital infrastructure, while leading the strategy and implementation for Aritzia's high-growth F&B environments. Additionally, you will build and scale the technology team, manage vendor relationships, and ensure seamless integration between F&B systems and the company's unified customer data layer.
Requirements
The role requires over 10 years of technology leadership experience, specifically within food and beverage, hospitality, or restaurant technology environments. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of building teams from the ground up and managing complex, multi-vendor technology implementations.
Full job description
THE TEAM
The mission of the Food & Beverage Technology department is to design, build, deliver and operate scalable technology, data, analytics, and AI solutions that align with the strategic goals of Food & Beverage.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Aritzia is growing, and our Food & Beverage Technology team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to build a team from the ground up to support a high-growth area of Aritzia. You will advance the technology strategy that brings Everyday Luxury to life across Aritzia’s Food & Beverage environments, playing a pivotal role in designing and evolving the technology, data, analytics, and AI capabilities that power world-class experiences. You will own the end-to-end Food & Beverage technology domain, with the opportunity to imprint on the long-term strategy and tech stack for Food & Beverage at Aritzia, including the domain technology roadmap, platform selection, vendor negotiation, and solution development and configuration, ensuring our Food & Beverage technology ecosystem is robust, scalable, and future-ready. With people at the heart of everything we do, you will support your high-potential people to grow rewarding careers at Aritzia — while enjoying one yourself.
THE ROLE
As the Senior Director/Director, Food and Beverage Technology, you will:
Own the complete Food & Beverage technology stack: POS, KDS, reservations, F&B ERP/inventory management, labor scheduling, payment processing, digital signage, and network infrastructure
Own end-to-end delivery of Food & Beverage technology implementation for our flagship boutiques
Lead RFP, vendor selection, and deployment including KDS, table management, online ordering, and payment certification
Govern the implementation partner relationship — holding the partner accountable to timeline, budget, and quality on a flagship-grade build
Stay current on technology innovations and bring relevant emerging capabilities to leadership for consideration, including owning and developing the technology roadmap in partnership with Food & Beverage business partners
Own the integration between Food & Beverage technology systems and Aritzia’s unified customer data layer, ensuring every guest interaction contributes to the client profile
Coordinate with loyalty program integration, ensuring Food & Beverage spend is recognized within the broader Aritzia client relationship
Make integration architecture decisions that affect both Food & Beverage and Retail technology domains
Build, scale, and lead the Food & Beverage technology team
Represent Food & Beverage Technology in cross-functional leadership forums and executive presentations
Manage all Food & Beverage technology risks, decisions, and escalations, with direct accountability
Partner with Finance on ongoing budget management and forecasting for the Food & Beverage technology portfolio
Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The Senior Director/Director, Food and Beverage Technology has:
Proven and best-in-class skills, education, experience and/or applicable certifications:
10+ years of technology leadership experience, with significant exposure to food and beverage, hospitality, or restaurant technology environments
Deep knowledge of F&B technology ecosystems — POS platforms (Oracle MICROS Simphony strongly preferred), KDS, reservations systems, inventory management, and labor scheduling
Proven experience delivering complex, multi-vendor technology implementations in elevated dining or premium hospitality environments
Strong commercial acumen — experience negotiating enterprise software agreements and managing implementation partner relationships to fixed-fee deliverables
Track record of building new technology capabilities or teams from the ground up, not just inheriting established ones
Experience integrating hospitality technology systems with enterprise customer data platforms or loyalty programs
Excellent stakeholder management skills — comfortable operating at the executive level and with front-line operations teams simultaneously
Global experience, especially within North America
Experience at a premium retail, luxury hospitality, or lifestyle brand is strongly preferred
A commitment to learn, apply, champion, and enrich Aritzia's Values, Business and People Leadership principles
The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team
A dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add value
A deep understanding and commitment for the industry in which we operate
THE PERKS
Some of the industry-leading benefits you will receive working at Aritzia:
Product Discount — Maybe you’ve heard of our famous product discount? Or our exclusive private shopping events? You have now.
