The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components for hydro turbines. They must interpret engineering drawings, monitor machine performance, and ensure all parts meet strict quality and safety standards.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree preferred. A minimum of two to four years of experience as a CNC Machinist is required.
Machinist II is responsible for setting up, editing programs, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components used in hydro turbines and complete turbine assemblies. This role involves interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, and ensuring all parts meet strict quality and safety standards. The machinist monitors machine performance, makes necessary adjustments, and performs inspections to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Working closely with engineering and production teams, the CNC Machinist helps ensure reliable, high-quality turbine components are delivered on schedule.
