The Opportunity: CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist
Your Role: The CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist is responsible for the setup and operation of six-axis Swiss-type CNC lathes, and be proficient with Star SR-32J and SB-20 controls, along with FMB Turbo bar feeders. You will set up, operate, and manufacture products according to blueprint specifications and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
Operate and set up six-axis Swiss CNC lathes to produce precision parts.
Perform all necessary machining functions, including tooling, offsets, inspections, and in-process adjustments.
Read and accurately interpret engineering blueprints and specifications.
Work with CNC programs and make necessary adjustments to maintain part quality and production requirements.
Inspect finished and in-process parts using precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues.
Maintain tight tolerances and consistently meet quality standards.
Manage production priorities to ensure on-time delivery.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Reports To: Machining Supervisor
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Minimum education level of High School, GED, or its equivalent
Proven experience operating Swiss CNC lathes
Strong knowledge of Star SR32J and SB-20 controls
Experience with FMB turbo bar feeders
Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and blueprints
Ability to produce high-quality, precision components with minimal supervision
Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting production schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates in Precision Machining
Strong understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds, offsets, and CNC programming

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $22.00 - $43.00 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential for B shift.
