The technician is responsible for performing fluxing, fusion, and cupellation processes to analyze samples while ensuring quality and safety standards. They must manage crucibles, maintain departmental inventory, and adhere to hazardous waste disposal regulations.
A recognized diploma or degree in Science is required, preferably in Chemistry, along with at least 2 years of production-oriented Fire Assay laboratory experience. Candidates must be able to lift 50lbs, work in hot/dusty environments, and be clean-shaven for respirator use.

About the Position
As a Fire Assay Technician within the Fire Assay department, your main responsibilities are fluxing, fusion, cupellation, and checking fusion quality to identify deficiencies and initiate re-assay process under minimum supervision.
