Job Responsibilities

Role: The IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role ensures smooth IT operations by resolving incidents, maintaining systems, and supporting infrastructure across the all RAIN’s Hyderabad Offices.

Key Objectives:

• Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, Printers, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows, macOS platforms.
• Install, configure, and maintain software applications and operating systems.
• Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connectivity.
• Support Office 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Handle incident and service request tickets using ITSM tools.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and warranty claims.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes including device setup and access provisioning.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and data protection protocols.
• Provide necessary support for Video/Audio conference calls particularly in the board rooms and assist senior management on need basis

Expected Outcomes:

• Resolve user-reported incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
• Minimize downtime by providing quick and effective troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software inventory.
• Ensure timely provisioning and decommissioning of IT assets
• Ensure desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices are operational.
• Proactively monitor and report recurring issues to prevent future incidents
• Assist in rollouts of new hardware, software, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Provide on-ground support during IT audits, migrations, or relocations.
• IT procurement related activities like creating getting proposals, organising negotiations, Purchase Requisitions, payment process and follow-up with internal teams
• Support antivirus, patch management, and data protection practices

Requirements:

• Positive attitude and strong commitment.
• Excellent knowledge of IT Infra technologies and current computing trends.
• Effective communication skills report to the management.
• Maintain clear documentation for troubleshooting steps, SOPs, and user guides.
• Communicate effectively with users and escalate issues when necessary.
