The Project Engineer is responsible for managing capital investment projects, overseeing engineering design evaluations, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and schedule. They provide technical support for manufacturing operations, maintain site assets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or a closely related discipline. The role requires at least 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and 2-5 years of experience in project management and supply chain activities.
Scope of Job: This position is a responsible for performing engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. Provides technical support for the engineering process. Collaborates with other engineering departments and coordinates their disciplines to the development of the project. Designs, implements, and communicates, an operational plan for completing the project. Monitors progress and performance against the project plan. Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project. Prepares engineering designs and work specifications. Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. May assume a team lead role for the work group.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or closely related discipline required.
Experience: 7 years of experience as manufacturing Industrial or Technical Engineering. 2-5 years of experience in Project Management, Supply Chain, and Activity Management.
