The engineer will own defined pieces of the propulsion system, ranging from 1D cycle performance and 3D CFD modeling to fuel nozzle design and rotordynamics. They will also support engine testing operations by analyzing data, troubleshooting anomalies, and collaborating with manufacturing teams to optimize hardware.
Candidates must hold a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and possess hands-on experience with propulsion, thermal-fluids, or analytical modeling tools. A strong grasp of core propulsion fundamentals and a track record of completing complex technical projects are essential.

Compensation
The Base Salary Range for this position is $87,000 - $117,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include long-term incentives/equity, a flexible PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits. Additional perks include on-site meals and gym access.
