The Field Service Technician II performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on gas compression packages in the field. They are responsible for commissioning new units, providing leadership to junior technicians, and ensuring accurate documentation of all service activities.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of applicable experience and a high school diploma or GED. Proficiency with OEM software like Caterpillar GERP and experience with gas compressor packages are required.
The Field Service Technician II - Night Operator is responsible for working and driving alone to perform basic to advanced maintenance functions, procedures, activities and responsibilities associated with working on gas compression packages when an alarm sounds (1st call). Duties include learning from and assisting other technicians with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, installation, and commissioning of both gas fired and electric driven compressor packages. The purpose of the Field Service Technician II level is to acquire proficiency in performing advanced maintenance, new equipment installation, and overhaul actions with limited supervision that will allow for progression to the Field Service Technician III level.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and adverse outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. |
