Perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair on J.B. Hunt trailers to ensure equipment meets company standards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, completing work orders, and mentoring trainee technicians.
Requires at least 2 years of semi-trailer maintenance experience and 1 year of experience with DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes. Candidates must provide their own basic tools and be able to work in outdoor elements across multiple shifts.
Shift Schedule: Shifts may vary based upon location and business needs.

Technicians can gain new skills and grow their opportunities through J.B. Hunt's Technician Career Advancement (TCA) program
Must be 18 years of age with 2 years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent
Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
At least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes
Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchase program
Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 2+ years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent
Basic welding skills (MIG and stick )
Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficient computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer, including Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to use time and resources efficiently and effectively
Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)
Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)
The expected starting pay range for this position is between $26.20 - $39.30.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
