Provides immediate crisis interventions and behavioral health services to clients in distress while coordinating with community providers for long-term recovery. Acts as a lead by mentoring staff, assisting the supervisor with scheduling, and overseeing the onboarding of new team members.
Requires 1.5-2 years of experience in mobile crisis work or a master's level license in social work or counseling. A valid driver's license is mandatory for operating agency vehicles within the community.
LEAD MOBILE CRISIS COUNSELOR (FULL-TIME)
Classification: Full-Time (40 Hours), Exempt Reports to: Mobile Crisis Team Supervisor Work Location: 100% In-Person
This position operates as an essential employee. All members of Harford Crisis Response (HCR) are the frontline, first response workers for behavioral health in Harford County. HCR employees are employed through the Office on Mental Health/Core Service Agency of Harford County, Inc. (OMH/CSA). The individual in this position will be responsible for providing mobile crisis services. Lead duties shall account for 1/4 of their time and/or as needed with OMH/CSA while also maintaining their MCT schedule. The person in this role shall have, at a minimum, 1.5-2 years as a mobile crisis counselor, or in crisis related work, or is a licensed master level social worker, counselor, or comparable or higher degree/licensure. All direct care workers are cross trained to provide multiple types of crisis response as part of HCR’s mission to make timely and effective crisis care available and accessible to the community.
Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate agency vehicles as a condition of employment.
