The Dock Checker is responsible for accurately sorting and putting away non-damaged products within the warehouse using scanning equipment. Additional duties include assisting on the returns dock and performing light janitorial tasks as needed.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Experience with Hi-Lo or Pallet Jacks is preferred but the company is willing to train.

Great Lakes Wine & Spirits continues to grow as we seek a Put-Away Dock Checker for our warehouse facilities in Detroit.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Dock Checker is responsible for sorting and putting away product within the warehouse ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. These duties involve scanning and putting away non-damaged products correctly in a safe and efficient manner. Other duties include but not limited to assisting on returns dock and light janitorial as needed.
This position operates in a warehouse environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration where the noise level can be loud. This role is also very active and must frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop and climb throughout the day while lifting, stacking, moving and rotating with items, without handles, that weigh up to 50 pounds; push/pull carts with up to 100 pounds of force. This position is required to operate warehouse equipment and regularly to read, write and communicate in English.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday starting at 8:00 AM and works until the job is finished. Occasional Saturdays may be required based on holiday schedules and business needs.
