About the Role
Are you passionate about re-/insurance supervisory and regulatory topics? Do you want to be at the forefront of the relationship with our group-wide supervisor FINMA and cover the supervisory angle of everything that moves Swiss Re? We are looking for a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager who takes a leading role in the team managing key supervisory processes and projects in collaboration with the relevant internal stakeholders, incl. senior management. In your role you will also analyze regulatory developments affecting Swiss Re's business and represent Swiss Re's interests towards regulatory expert groups and industry associations.

Lead or contribute to ad-hoc interdisciplinary teams related to projects, transactions and situations with a supervisory dimension.
Lead the preparation of regulatory interactions such as the FINMA Supervisory College meetings, FINMA on-site inspections, regular senior level meetings, and ad-hoc exchanges.
Contribute to and coordinate data calls, field testing exercises, or consultations.
Identify, assess and monitor key regulatory developments and risks. Facilitate internal understanding of the impacts and subsequent preparation for upcoming regulatory requirements.
Maintain close contact and cooperation with key internal stakeholders across Business Units, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Risk Management and other relevant internal functions.
Support the preparation of briefing materials and presentations for members of Swiss Re's Executive Committee and/or Board of Directors.
Contribute to and coordinate internal reports and presentation.
Participate in specific industry events and meetings (e.g. Swiss Insurance Association) and represent Swiss Re's views as relevant.
About the Team
The Regulatory Affairs Switzerland team is responsible for managing the relationship with our group-wide supervisor FINMA and key authorities in Switzerland, ensuring constructive relationships while supporting the organization's business objectives. The team also manages risks arising from changes to existing or new regulatory and supervisory requirements that could materially affect Swiss Re.
About You
Solid understanding of the re-/insurance regulatory framework and supervisory practice in Switzerland and/or another relevant jurisdiction.
Proven track record in the (re)insurance industry or relevant authorities with touch points in Supervision, Regulatory, Risk Management, Finance, Legal, Compliance, or Treasury/Capital Management.
A master's degree in either Law, Actuarial Sciences, Natural Science, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Political Science or another relevant field.
Excellent analytical skills, as well as a proven understanding of the foundations of (re)insurance and the pre-requisites required for it to be able to fulfil its role in society.
Ability to summarise complex issues into concise memos/presentations.
Ability to present and communicate well orally and in writing in both German and English.
Strong interpersonal skills with experience in dealing with external stakeholders and top management.
Strong team player, willing to share knowledge and information and who naturally brings individuals together as needed, from across countries and functions.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 128,000 and CHF 192,000 for a full-time role.

The requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
The applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
