The Medical Radiographer performs a variety of radiological and fluoroscopic procedures, including assisting physicians in interventional radiology cases using sterile techniques. They are responsible for the safe administration of ionizing radiation, equipment operation, and maintaining accurate patient records and quality control standards.
Candidates must be graduates of a Diagnostic Radiology Program and hold a New York State DOH License in Diagnostic Radiology. Additionally, the role requires ARRT certification, BLS certification, and IV Contrast Injection certification.
Position Summary

Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures, as required.
The duties of the Medical Radiographer - Interventional Radiology / Special procedures may include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes. A radiographer performs a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquires, and analyzes data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $101,595 - $128,846 Base
The above salary range represents SBUH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate’s validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.
Some positions offer annual supplemental pay such as:
Location pay for UUP, CSEA & PEF full-time positions ($4000)
Night shift differential ($15,000), evening shift differential ($10,000)
Inconvenience pay/supplemental shift differential. ($575)
