The Outpatient Lactation Consultant RN provides expert consultation and support to families regarding infant feeding, lactation initiation, and maintenance. They also conduct in-person and telehealth visits while serving as a lactation resource for the community and ProMedica staff.
Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Nursing and a current Ohio RN license, with at least 3-4 years of clinical nursing experience. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
As a mother cares for their newborn baby, the Outpatient Lactation Consultant RN will provide expert consultation and support.
You will conduct in-person and telehealth nursing visits as you counsel families on infant feeding, lactation initiation and maintenance and overcoming challenges.
You will support and maintain employee lactation projects and serve as a lactation resource throughout ProMedica and in your community.
