This position is responsible for training Case Managers on all areas of Case Management and the CARE Assessment in the ALTCEW Title XIX program. The Case Manager Trainer provides one-on-one training and group trainings. The Case Manager Trainer works closely with the CM III’s and CM Supervisors to identify training and technical assistance needs for the staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide orientation and training for new Case Manager team employees.
Provide CARE Assessment Training to all Case Managers and Case Aides.
Develop and provide ongoing training on specific case management related topics such as Management Bulletins, Long Term Care Manual, and new or updated program requirements and services.
Document and track training received by individual employees, as appropriate.
Provide coaching and feedback to CMII during initial in-home assessments.
Randomly review client records and provide coaching and feedback on any identified corrections needed and/or areas of improvement.
Assist in developing tools and processes to ensure new hires maintain compliance with current policies, procedures, and practices.
Assist CM II in learning and locating necessary community resources.
Requires travel to see clients in the community and travel between work sites.

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL HAVE:
REQUIRED:
Master’s degree in behavioral or health sciences and two years of paid on-the-job social service experience; or
Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or health sciences and three years of paid on-the-job social service experience; or
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a field other than behavioral or health sciences, Associates Degree or High School diploma with two years of experience as a Case Manager Trainee and one year experience as Case Manager II.
Must apply for a Counselor Agency Affiliated – Registered credential from the WA State Department of Health within 30 days of hire.
Must have an unrestricted and valid driver’s license, active car insurance and must be willing to use their personal vehicle in the course of work.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of case management principles and practice, aging and long-term care services, including the Area Agency on Aging service network. Proficient with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Ability to apply observation and analytical techniques in evaluating situations and formulating conclusions.
Knowledge of Federal, state, and local codes and regulations pertaining to state funded community based in-home personal care and case management procedures. Knowledge of data analysis methods and program evaluation processes. Demonstrates proficiency in training new case managers to competently use Electronic Assessment (CARE/CAREWEB), Provider One, ACES, Barcode and Exception to Rule.
Possesses demonstrated skills including initiative, coaching, excellent communication, and documentation skills as well as leadership skills to foster staff development.
Ability to develop training content and deliver training in a variety of formats to meet the needs of different learning styles.

PAY RANGE (Hourly/ Non-Exempt): $29.26 - $35.65
All pay is based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health; thus, the starting pay for this position is $29.26 per hour.
