Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment while assisting surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and handling supplies. Support post-operative room turnover, ensure proper function of surgical equipment, and assist with patient preparation and positioning.
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required, with CST or TSC certification necessary within six months of hire. Candidates must possess valid CPR/BLS certification and be able to obtain required criminal clearances.

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program (college, vocational school, hospital, or military)
0–2 years of experience required
No experience necessary — new graduates welcome!
Additional experience may qualify for Intermediate or Senior Surgical Technologist roles
Experience may include a variety of surgical specialties (General, Ortho, Neuro, OB/GYN, Vascular, etc.)
CST or TSC certification required per state law
New grads may work up to 6 months prior to certification but must become certified within 6 months of program completion
Some staff may be grandfathered and exempt from certification requirements
Certified staff must meet credentialing CE requirements
Non-certified staff must complete 30 CE hours every 2 years
CPR/BLS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire
Act 34 Criminal Clearance (with renewal as required)
