The pharmacy technician assists in the procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Responsibilities also include inventory management, patient billing, and performing sterile compounding for various patient populations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and a California Pharmacy Technician Certificate. The role requires the ability to work in a union environment and obtain specific local certifications within 30 days of employment.
Assists in the procurement, storage, preparation and distribution of medications, all under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist. The technician is also responsible for patient billing, inventory control, and other non-discretionary tasks relating to the maintenance of the Pharmacy.
