The Health Care Assistant provides technical patient care services, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living. They also perform clerical duties such as maintaining patient charts, directing calls, and managing unit files.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and are preferred to have completed a Certified Nursing Assistant or Health Care Assistant course. Previous experience in patient care or clerical work is required, along with BCLS certification obtained by the end of orientation.

License, Certification and/or registration: Current nursing Alabama or multi-state Licensure. BCLS required (must be completed within the Provisionary Period).
Experience: Must have successfully completed a Perioperative RN program or have prior experience as a circulating RN.
