Requires a high school diploma and 1-2 years of healthcare registration or billing experience, plus 3-5 years of customer service. Proficiency in insurance verification and experience with EPIC or Microsoft Office is preferred.

Essential duties may include scheduling, registration and insurance verification for both outpatient and inpatient services by collecting proper demographic information and securing authorizations for procedures. Acts as the primary liaison for patients receiving professional and hospital services at ECU Health.
Minimum RequirementsHigh School or Equivalent (GED) or higher is required.
Associate Degree: preferred
Bachelors Degree: preferred
1 to 2 years of Registration and/or Billing experience within a healthcare setting is required
3 to 5 years - customer service experience is required

Excellent communication (both written and oral), detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills required
