The manager coordinates daily clinical operations for the Cardiac Cath and E.P. Labs, including staffing, inventory, and financial management. They are also responsible for developing departmental policies, managing budgets, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Candidates must hold a current Florida RN license and a Master's degree in Nursing, with at least three to five years of professional nursing experience. Two years of procedural experience in a cardiac cath or E.P. lab is required, along with the ability to obtain national nursing certification within six months.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Current RN license in state of Florida. Master's degree in Nursing required. Consideration will be given to those currently enrolled in formal education to obtain MSN. National nursing certification required within six months of hire. Minimum of three to five years professional nursing practice experience required, with two years procedural experience in cardiac cath lab or E.P. Lab experience. Demonstrates autonomous and accountable nursing practice with knowledge and application of patient care outcomes management. Demonstrates excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to influence staff's knowledge and application of evidence-based practice. Demonstrates ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes. Demonstrated leadership and management skills with knowledge and application of advanced professional nursing practice, nursing care delivery models, health care delivery systems, and budgetary process. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
