The clinical pharmacist manages pharmaceutical services in the Emergency Department, ensuring safe and effective medication use through order verification and multidisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities include providing drug information, monitoring patient profiles, and responding to code or trauma pages.
Requires a Bachelor's or Pharm.D. degree and a current Texas Pharmacist license, with a pediatric residency and PhD preferred. Mandatory certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, along with ACPE accredited IV training.

Summary:
The pharmacist is responsible for providing comprehensive medication management in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department (ED). As a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, the clinical pharmacist promotes an environment of safe and effective medication utilization while providing services to meet the needs of the patient.
Responsibilities:
This will be a full-time, overnight position in the emergency department that follows a 7 on 7 off schedule pattern. Shifts will be 8:00pm-8:00am or 9:00pm-9:00am.
