The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services according to physician orders and department policies. Key duties include administering modalities, interpreting ABG values, and documenting patient assessments and treatments.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA approved school of respiratory care and hold a current NYS respiratory therapist or technician license. BLS/CPR certification is required, and 3-5 years of hospital experience is preferred.
Under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Services Medical Director and Clinical Coordinator, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders, department policies and procedures.
