Green Oaks North Pet Hospital is a fully equipped veterinary hospital providing both routine and major surgeries, pet dentistry, radiography, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of illnesses. In addition, Green Oaks North Pet Hospital has a full, on-site laboratory to aid in providing prompt diagnosis and treatment and a boarding facility.
Green Oaks North Pet Hospital is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association. We strive to deliver high-quality veterinary care as well as uphold certain standards and levels of service.
Position Purpose
Green Oaks North Pet Hospital is seeking a passionate and dedicated veterinarian to join our team! Our AAHA-accredited hospital is conveniently located in north Arlington, easily accessible from both Arlington and Grand Prairie. We’re a fully equipped practice offering a wide range of services, including surgery, dentistry, digital radiography, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and more. We also provide a comfortable boarding facility for our clients’ pets.
At Green Oaks North, you’ll be supported by a collaborative, compassionate, and skilled team that takes pride in delivering high-quality veterinary care. Whether you’re an experienced veterinarian or a recent graduate, we welcome you to apply. For new grads, we offer excellent mentorship to help you build confidence and grow in your career.
Essential Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
Maintain patients’ medical records.
Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
