About the Role:
The Scheduler 2 plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of appointments, procedures, and resources within a healthcare setting. This position is responsible for managing scheduling needs that support patient care delivery and optimize the use of clinical and administrative resources. The Scheduler 2 collaborates closely with healthcare providers, patients, and administrative staff to maintain accurate and timely scheduling information, thereby enhancing patient satisfaction and operational workflow. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, the Scheduler 2 contributes to the seamless operation of healthcare services by minimizing scheduling conflicts and maximizing resource utilization.
We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Part Time, Scheduler 2 at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants in Albany, NY.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare scheduling or a related administrative role.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment within the Health Care and Social Assistance industry.
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare billing processes.
Certification in medical scheduling or healthcare administration.
Demonstrated ability to use data analytics tools to improve scheduling efficiency.
Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, to support diverse patient populations.
