The Patient Care Technician performs basic nursing care activities, including monitoring vital signs and assisting patients with daily living tasks. They also manage unit workflow, communicate with staff and families, and maintain an orderly patient environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a certification as a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician. Additionally, a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
