What You Will Do:
We are looking for a Scientific Program Analyst to provide scientific, programmatic, administrative, and project management support to the Division of Clinical Research (DCR), National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). This position supports the planning, coordination, evaluation, communication, and reporting of scientific programs and clinical research initiatives. This is a full-time position located in Rockville, MD and is telework eligible.
Support Division of Clinical Research (DCR) scientific programs by assisting with the planning, development, execution, and monitoring of research initiatives.
Organize and maintain project documentation, communications, action items, and tracking tools to ensure timely completion of program activities.
Coordinate program activities, including agendas, meetings, background materials, minutes, and follow-up actions.
Conduct literature reviews and database searches using PubMed, Web of Science, and other scientific resources to support programmatic needs.
Analyze, summarize, and present scientific and programmatic information from reports, publications, databases, and research portfolios.
Prepare reports, briefing materials, presentations, graphs, tables, posters, and other communication products for leadership and stakeholders.
Plan and support scientific meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars, and teleconferences, including logistics and stakeholder communications.
Draft, edit, and proofread scientific and programmatic documents, correspondence, agendas, and meeting materials.
Provide project management support by monitoring milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and program performance metrics.
Develop and maintain SharePoint sites, databases, spreadsheets, tracking systems, and resource repositories.
Collaborate with program staff to conduct portfolio analyses, identify trends, improve processes, and support strategic planning efforts.
Communicate with principal investigators, program staff, and external stakeholders regarding scientific and programmatic activities.
Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports that support program evaluation, decision-making, and reporting requirements.
Support outreach, education, and stakeholder engagement initiatives aligned with program objectives.
What You Will Need:
Master’s degree in Neuroscience or a closely related scientific discipline.
A minimum of ONE (1) year of experience supporting clinical research, clinical trials, scientific programs, or research portfolio activities.
Strong scientific background with the ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex scientific information.
Knowledge of NIH grants, funding mechanisms, funding opportunity announcements, and related research administration processes.
Knowledge of human subjects research protections, research conduct, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Skilled in conducting literature reviews, scientific database searches, and portfolio analyses.
Background supporting scientific meetings, workshops, conferences, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Ability to analyze scientific research portfolios and grant-funded research programs.
Experience preparing scientific reports, briefing materials, presentations, graphs, charts, and data summaries.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and WebEx.
Experience developing and maintaining SharePoint sites, reporting tools, and scientific databases.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced scientific environment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD “public trust”; candidates must receive approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred.

Familiarity with budget tracking, program metrics, and performance reporting.
Experience coordinating national scientific meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$108,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
