The electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring systems, switchgear, and various electrically operated equipment. They perform regular inspections, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure all electrical components are functioning safely and efficiently.
Candidates must have at least five years of specialized experience in the full range of electrician functions. A high school diploma or GED is accepted as part of the general experience requirements.

PHYSICAL EFFORT
WORKING CONDITIONS
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: One year of experience that provided the knowledge and ability to perform basic electrical work such as repairing electrical wiring systems and switches etc.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of general experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for one year of general experience. S
PECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience that provided the knowledge and ability to perform a full range of electrician functions in connection with installation modification and or repair of electrical systems and electrically operated equipment etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standing stooping bending kneeling climbing and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions where parts of systems are in hard-to-reach places. Frequently lifts carries and sets up tools equipment and parts weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally may lift or carry items weighing over 20 pounds
